Bogor located near Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. It's about 40 km south from Jakarta. You can reach Bogor through three ways from Jakarta, Capital of Indonesia.
1. By Train / Comuter Line
Commuter Line is train which powered by electricity. It serve area Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. There a lot of station from Jakarta that can bring you to Bogor. From central Jakarta or north, you can go to Gondangdia Stasiun or Stasiun Kota for starting point.
It's about 1-1.5 hours to get into Bogor. The end poin is Station Bogor. It's located at central Bogor so you can go to any place from here.
Tariff of Commuter line is cheap, about 7000 IDR or less then 1 USD. Commuter Line service is from 4 a.m until 11.00 p.m. You should care about the schedule. Please check the schedule if you want to take Commuter Line.
2. By Bus
The probability that you should stand up in Commuter Line is high. So if your want to make sure that you have a seat, you should take bus to reach Bogor. You can go to Terminal Kampung Rambutan, Terminal Kali Deres, and Terminal Pulo Gadung as a starting poin. In the end point you will bring to Terminal Barang Siang at Bogor which the only one bus terminal.
Tariff of bus is in range 7000 IDR to 15.000 IDR depend to which terminal are you from. Terminal Barang Siang is located in central Bogor, you can go walk away from terminal to nearest point of interest as long as Pajajaran Street. Around terminal there are a lot of hotel like Fave Hotel.
3. By Own Vehicle
With your own vehicle you can save your traveling time. From Jakarta, you can reach Bogor in 30 minutes by through Jagorawi highway. With notes there no traffic jam. In office hours don't expect for that time, it can become 2-3 hours to reach Bogor. Please consider your time if you take own vehicle.
