Every city has their own landmark as a city icon. New York has Liberty Statue, Jakarta has Monas, Rio De Jenairo has Corcovado so do Bogor. Bogor has Tugu Kujang.

Kujang is a traditional weapon Kingdom of Padjadjaran. According to history, the royal capital Pajajaran is known as which is now the city of Bogor. So no wonder Kujang is synonymous with the city of Bogor. Kujang itself is made of iron curved shape with seven grooves and has three holes.
Tugu Kujang erected to commemorate the royal capital Pajajaran removals from Galuh to Pakuan by King Siliwangi in the year 1482. In addition, the building is also a replacement building monuments of the city of Bogor city refund monument of British rulers hand to the Dutch in 1836, which used to be located at the junction of Jalan Ahmad Yani-Sudirman (Air Mancur).
Location of  Tugu Kujang is at the junction between Jalan Jalan Padjadjaran and Oto Iskandar Dinata. Very strategic location makes this monument is always crowded. From Jakarta we can easily achieve that after Padjadjaran motorway exit and turn to the right. Approximately 500 meters we are already achieving.
Every year, exactly when the anniversary of the city of Bogor, Tugu Kujang always cleaned. With the rapid development of the city, unfortunately this monument has a rival that is building the hotel which is located very close to Tugu Kujang.
